This autism training session includes basic information on autism, including, characteristics, diagnosis and treatment. Participants will receive information on the learning, communication and social deficits that affect individuals with autism. Video segments are included.

This autism training session covers dozens of ideas for adapting books and increasing literacy. Skill levels range from matching concepts through advanced reading comprehension and even ideas for book groups. A digital file will be available after the training which includes photos of all the examples.
This workshop shows various ways to adapt commercially available independent and social leisure materials to make them accessible and enjoyable to children with autism. A  presentation and videos provide the background for using the adapted materials. Kits to adapt commercial games are available for purchase at a nominal fee.
The TTAP (TEACCH Transition Assessment Profile) is a new assessment tool developed by Division TEACCH in North Carolina. The TTAP provides a meaningful profile of skills and goals for people with autism spectrum disorder over the age of 12. This workshop breaks down the administration of the TTAP in a user-friendly way and is enhanced by video segments.
A hands-on autism workshop in which participants make and take tasks they can use in their classrooms. Participants will view a  presentation on creating top quality tasks based on the principles of Structured Teaching and will then create tasks for their students in the instructional areas of Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies. Emphasis is on making tasks that can be used to measure both State Standards and IEP goals. Additional topics include data collection and implementation.
