KICKING OFF OUR “YOU BELIEVE IN ME” CAMPAIGN
Have Dreams Asks, “Who Believed in You?”
Do you remember who believed in you when you were starting out? Where would you be today without their encouragement and support? With the start of the giving season right around the corner, we are launching our new fundraising campaign, “You Believe in Me” to capture the spirit of believing in our Have Dreams participants who benefit from you support.
To kick off the giving season, we have several ways you can donate to support Have Dreams to show the children, teens and adults with autism that you believe in them:
1. DONATE ONLINE during our Giving Season Kickoff Event:
Wednesday, November 1 through
Friday, November 3, 2017 at www.havedreams.org/believe
The Coleman Foundation is generously providing gift matches for online donations made to Have Dreams November 1-3! Kickoff this year’s giving season by supporting our employment training for adults. This is just ONE of the many ways we help individuals with autism realize their potential and know someone believes in them!
2. DONATE ONLINE on Giving Tuesday:
November 28, 2017 at www.havedreams.org/believe
The Coleman Foundation will also be providing matching gifts for all online donations made to Have Dreams on #GivingTuesday, November 28th!
3. DONATE ONLINE, BY CHECK OR CREDIT CARD
Read our Annual Appeal Letter that will reach your mailboxes in a few weeks and send your donation in the return envelope provided!
Read about three Have Dreams participants, who have successfully realized the dream of earning their first paycheck after attending employment training through Have Dreams. Show our participants You Believe in Them and the value they bring to the workforce with a donation to continue to fund these unique and vital programs.
A heartfelt thank you to Colleen Gebavi and her generous and hard-working network of friends for raising more than $12,000 for Have Dreams at the Houseful of Charity fundraiser at the end of September. This unique event featured a resale boutique of home furnishings staged in a home for sale in Park Ridge. All items sold were just too good for a garage sale and had been resting in the storage closets of donors’ homes. Each room of the home was staged with a different theme (kids furniture, master bedroom, living room, etc.).
“One person can make a difference, but real change happens when a whole community comes together,” says Colleen. Thank you Colleen, her team of friends, and everyone who donated furniture and other items, as well as everyone who attended the event!
