Additional Ways to Support Events

• Help underwrite the fundraising commitment of one of our runners. We would encourage donations beginning at $25. Gather friends and family to collectively raise funds to sponsor one of our Charity Team runners.
• Provide a monetary or in-kind donation for the runner goodie bags (healthy snacks, power bars, running gear related items,) and/or the runner’s t-shirts. Quantity of 50
• Attend and cheer on your adopted runner at one of the Have Dreams sponsored practice runs at the Have Dreams Evanston location (July 21 or September 15) and/or attend the Chicago Marathon to cheer on and support the Have Dreams Marathon Team.

Gift Cards/In-Kind Donations/Gift Baskets

Help support Parent hosted fundraising events by purchasing or obtaining gift certificates or in-kind donations for silent auction and raffle prizes. Please adhere to the following guidelines when soliciting gift cards from retailers.

Families have the option to:

1) obtain in-kind donations from friends, family or business associates,
2) purchase gift certificates or gift cards from area retailers, entertainment or sports venues, or
3) solicit cash sponsorships from area corporations, retailers, individual benefactors, or foundations.
Gift certificates should have a minimum value of $25.

Please do not request an in-kind donation from these businesses (although you may purchase a gift card)

Donations may be dropped off at either Have Dreams location. Please make sure to include your name so we can keep track of donations.

Gift Baskets

Grab some friends and put together a gift basket to be used for one of our fundraising events. Listed below are some ideas for baskets but feel free to come up with your own idea as well.

• Pizza Making Basket - pizza stone, pizza cutter, pizza crust mix, parmesan cheese and red pepper flake shakers, pizza crust mix, gourmet pizza sauce, Italian seasonings, Italian oven mitts, dishtowels, gift certificate to grocery store to purchase pizza toppings (sausage, pepperoni, vegetables, etc.)

• Spa Basket - gift certificate to local spa for massage, manicure and/or pedicure, perfumed body lotions, bath salts, shower gels, etc., bath pillow, home pedicure kit, back scratcher, loofah sponge

• Kids Activity Basket - crayons, washable markers, colored pencils, activity books, scribble or art pads, construction paper, deck of cards, car bingo game, snacks

• Movie Basket -  gift certificate to movie theater, purchased DVDs or Blu-ray Discs, popcorn, popcorn bowl, movie sized candy

• Martini Basket - martini glasses, martini shaker, martini shot glass, martini recipe book, martini accessories (olives, toothpicks, cocktail napkins)
