Basic Elements of Structured Teaching (BEST)

  1. Overview of Autism Spectrum Disorders
  2. Basics of Structured Teaching
  3. Practical Application and Interventions
  4. Interactive lectures and instructions

A two-day interactive workshop providing an overview of Structured Teaching and its application for moderately to severely challenged children with autism spectrum disorder. Video presentations of three students (beginning level, mid- and higher-functioning) enhance the lectures and provide information for the hands-on activities.

Have Dreams Structured Teaching Academy 2017-2018 

Starting September 26 & 27, 2017 with a Basic Elements of Structured Teaching Training

(All trainings are set up for Academy members to work within cohort with a view to becoming trainers.)

After two successful years of the Have Dreams Structured Teaching Academy, we will again be offering the Academy for the 2017/18 school year.
The Academy covers a year-long schedule of 10 days of autism specific trainings and support in cohort programs of maximum 25 classroom teachers.
Teachers will be mentored, trained and provided materials to present the following trainings to their district/school:
  1. Autism 411 Training Module
  2. ParaPro Training Module
  3. Related Services Training  Module
Due  to the intensity of the Academy space is limited to 25 participants at a cost of $3,000 (a value of $3,500 if each training is attended individually).
