 Basic Elements of Structured Teaching

June 13 and 14, 2018

This is an introductory-level training which will cover:
  • Overview of Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Basics of Structured Teaching
  • Practical Application and Interventions
  • Interactive lectures and instructions
 Location:  Have Dreams Evanston, 2020 Dempster St.
Time: 8:30am – 3:30 pm both days
Cost:  $350 per person (12 CPDU)

 TEACCH Transition Assessment Profile (TTAP)

June 19, 2018

The Goals and Objectives of this workshop are:
  • Learn to identify the characteristics of autism that effect employment for individuals with ASD
  • Learn to assess the vocational skills of the individuals with ASD
  • Learn best practice strategies for teaching vocational skills to adults with ASD
  • Learn how the job development process can be adapted to meet the need of individuals with ASD

Time: 9:00am – 3:30 pm

Structured Teaching Classroom Set-Up (CSU)

Dates:  July 16-20, 2018 or July 30 – August 3, 2018

This training offers:
  • Direct, supervised experience in a demonstration classroom setting
  • Interactive experience with students with autism of varying ages from elementary through transition with varying functioning levels
  • Presentations and demonstrations of Structured Teaching philosophies and methodologies
  • Work as a team to set-up a classroom, including arranging physical structure of classroom and working with students primary through high school
