Volunteer Opportunities

Learn about our Social Buddy program, and other volunteer roles to assist Have Dreams program staff as mentors in our after-school, weekend, and Special Olympics Track & Field and Aquatics programs. Serve on a committee or volunteer for one of our exciting fundraising events during the year, such as our annual spring fundraiser, our fall Golf Classic, our Team Have Dreams events, or one of our “fun-raisers” during Autism Awareness month in April.

Become A Volunteer

Help make a difference in the lives of individuals with autism by volunteering for Have Dreams. There are many ways to contribute your time to make a difference! Provide friendship and mentorship to our participants as a social buddy or volunteer in our after-school, weekend and Special Olympics programs. Partner as a volunteer with Have Dreams staff to assist us with various fundraising events throughout the year, host your own event to benefit Have Dreams, or consider serving on one of our board committees! Your time and talent will help us provide vital programs and services to individuals with autism in our community.

Volunteer at Have Dreams

The Social Buddy program allows local children and teens to act as peer mentors for the Have Dreams participants. We provide training for these volunteers to actively assist program staff during program activities on-site. Social Buddies are asked to commit to volunteering for one class per week for the session. Have Dreams staff also mentors our young volunteers who are interested in pursuing careers in autism and special education. Social Buddies must be 12-18 years old. Host a Fundraiser

Whether it’s Friday Jeans day at your corporate office, a downtown fashion event fundraiser, proceeds from your school fundraiser or car wash, or a holiday company party group donation, your company, school group, community organization or family, we’ll provide assistance to help you host your own, unique successful event!

It takes a village, and through the years, Have Dreams has been the fortunate designated beneficiary of many types of fundraising events including golf outings, festivals, dinners, fashion shows, casino nights, Friday corporate Jean’s Days for Employees, bar gatherings, concerts, change drives and many more, organized by individuals, companies, clubs and groups who share in our mission of helping children, teens and adults with autism.

Board Membership

Learn how you can lend your professional expertise and talent to benefit Have Dreams. Have Dreams offers an array of opportunities from committee involvement, and ambassadorship of Have Dreams to the business community, to participation in governance as members of our Board. Lend your time and talent to advance our organization and build more autism awareness in the community.

Board Membership

Have Dreams aspires to help individuals with autism improve their abilities to learn, function independently and socialize so that they may realize their full potential and develop into contributing members of their communities. The Have Dreams Board is tasked with planning, coordinating and evaluating Have Dreams’ performance, and to procure resources for the programs and services of the organization. Furthermore, the Have Dreams Board advances the work of Have Dreams through sharing expertise and resources.
