Have Dreams provides adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder the tools needed to be successful – whether in their day-to-day lives, the classroom, or the workplace. We offer a variety of services to help adults across the spectrum realize and fulfill their true potential. Whether the goal is to find meaningful employment or to build new friendships, all of our adult programs focus on increasing independence, communication, and social skills through a variety of peer-group experiences on-site and within the broader community.
Have Dreams’ Life SCILS program is a community-based program that serves young adults with autism post-high school. These experiences focus on increasing independence, communication and social skills with peers in an inclusive community.
Transition at Northwestern
This program within the Have Dreams Academy is for high school students in their last year of transition services or recent high school graduates, and is located in Evanston, offering three 10-week internship rotations in departments at Northwestern University.
Competitive, inclusive employment opportunities are currently available for individuals with autism 18 years and older who complete an on-the-job workforce training program with the Chicago-area Have Dreams agency. Enrolled participants will enhance their social and communication skills, gain work experience and learn transferable job skills through intensive training, job coaching and real workplace internships.
