Have Dreams is a well-established, leading Chicago area autism resource nonprofit with locations in Park Ridge and Evanston. Founded in 1996, Have Dreams is a leader in resources for individuals and their families living with autism spectrum disorder. Have Dreams offers lifespan programs and services for individuals across the entire autism spectrum, including after-school programs, workforce training for adults with autism, a full day community-based program for adults, mental health and employment counseling, online and in-person trainings for educators and other professionals, and family support services. 


Life Coach

Position Summary:

Have Dreams is seeking a life coach for its Life SCILS program. Life SCILS is an adult day program for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. Through volunteer experiences and community outings, participants develop greater independence, communication, social skills and work skills. With the help of our life coaches, our participants are able to generalize vocational skills through a variety of volunteer opportunities in the community.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Education, Psychology, or Related Field)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Must be flexible

  • Minimum one-year working with adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Valid Illinois driver’s license

  • Must be able to pass a background check

Essential Duties: (Other duties will be assigned)

  • Responsible for taking groups into the community for social outings

  • Life coach participants at various job sites/volunteer sites in the community

  • Implement and lead group activities

  • Implement daily lesson plans

Location: Evanston, IL

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-3:30pm

Salary: $33,000-$35,000 depending on experience

Part-Time Autism Mental Health Clinician

Have Dreams is seeking an experienced LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW to join our team for a part-time caseload with a full-time option as the caseload grows at our Evanston location.

Description:

This candidate should have clinical mental health experience working with individuals (ages 6+) and families affected by an autism spectrum disorder. They should be interested in developing their clinical skills while collaborating with their colleagues. Ideal candidates should possess strong leadership skills, flexibility, time management, and organization. They should be knowledgeable about various evidence-based interventions to treat children, adolescents, adults, and/ or families impacted by autism. Candidates should also be comfortable facilitating individual and family therapy. We are looking for candidates to continuously learn and develop new skills and who appreciate working together as a team. 

  • Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and mental health conditions 

  • Commit to in-person sessions and telehealth options at our Evanston location 

  • Create client treatment plans and manage documentation 

  • Maintain detailed records about each session using Therapy Notes (EMR system) 

  • Complete all clinical, case management, and billing-related paperwork in a timely manner 

  • Support marketing/outreach efforts to support/build caseload 

Schedule: Daytime, evenings and/or Saturday hours with competitive pay
