Date: March 12
Time: 9:00 - 11:00
Price: $75
Live Webinar
Communication is not a privilege — it’s a right. This engaging and practical professional development training empowers educators to confidently support students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Designed specifically for general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and paraprofessionals, this session moves beyond theory and into real-life classroom application. Participants will learn how to embed AAC naturally into instruction, routines, and social interactions — without adding more to their already full plates.
This training addresses common misconceptions about AAC, explains why access should never be limited by outdated “readiness” models, and demonstrates how consistent modeling builds language, literacy, independence, and self-advocacy.
Participants will walk away with:
A clear understanding of AAC as a language system
Practical modeling strategies that work across grade levels
Ready-to-implement classroom supports
Increased confidence in supporting speaking and non-speaking students alike
A mindset shift toward presuming competence and communication access for all
This is not a device training. It’s a communication access training.
Target audience: General education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and paraprofessionals
Guest Speaker: Marea Rosedale, M.S., CCC-SLP, with over 10 years of being a Speech Pathologist specializing in working with students on the spectrum.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a live webinar, not an in-person training. After purchase, we will send you a Zoom invite.
If you need to pay by a purchase order, please reach out to Lydia Wissing at lwissing@havedreams.org
